About Rajut Nusa
Founded in February 2024 in Yogyakarta, Rajut Nusa is an eco-sociopreneur initiative committed to reducing plastic waste by upcycling it into unique fashion accessories.
All our products are handmade by local women artisans, including mothers of children with disabilities, offering them the opportunity to work from home, earn a fair income, and support their families.
What we do
Rajut nusa uses this residual plastic as raw material and upcycles to fashion accessories
Backgroud
- Only 7% of plastic is recycled.
- From that, 75% is PET (plastic bottles).
- Most residual plastic (bags, wrappers) is not recycled at all.
- Indonesians use around 1,401 tons/day of plastic bags, much of which ends up in the ocean.
